can't actually see the interview, as teh firewall at my work wont' allow me to view it.
that being said, speaking in general terms, and not just in reference to that game.....miller needs to learn to shut his mouth and play the game. he seems to have a mild case of "tim thomas" disease. over the last 2 years, he's been AT BEST an average goalie, and it looks to me like NOBODY has given up more goals in the NHL this year than him. while i'm sure a few of those can be blamed on his defense, perhaps he should look in the mirror before criticizing his teammates.
I obviously don't follow the sabres as closely as any of you, but i think the sabres should start considering parting ways with miller. i don't think he's ever again going to be the vezina calibre goalie he was a few years ago (not saying he'll be bad, just not at that level), and it seems the only time you hear about him these days, is when he's had a bad game, or he's running his mouth off to the media.
every time i hear him speak, my mind goes right to guys like T.O., Randy moss, tim thomas, etc, etc. athletes with giant egos, who seem to think they can say whatever the hell they want. ottawa has had a few players like like that throughout the years, guys like emery, yashin, corvo, etc...and no matter how well they were playing, i always felt their attitudes and big mouths hurt the team more than their skill helped the team.
I think the sabres should try to move him, bring in a young guy, and start over. just my 2 cents. |

But really who cares???? That win would just be one step closer to 9th place.
This is the first season I have ever in 20+ years wanted the Sabres to suck. I hate the coach, GM, and half the team. They play with no heart and they are boring as all hell to watch.
Only players I would miss are Vanek, JP, Ennis, Myers "yup i said it", Ehrhoff, Ott, Foligno, Hodgson. The rest could be put on waivers for all I care. I'm sick of seeing the same old mediocre team on the ice and I'm sick of wasting a couple hundred a year on this team when they just give us crap in return.
Pegula its been two years now... I really hope you stop being a super fan and start being an owner. |

In this league a defense can make or break a goalie. IF you have a top notch D you can win with a average goalie "although the goalie looks great due to defense, Boston is a great example of this".
So yes Miller should be traded away if the deal is right obviously. Is enroth the answer? heck no, but even with Miller playing on top of his game this team struggles to win. |

I hear great things. Just imagine 2-3 picks in the 1st round! We could get that if we trade for the future.
Obviously this wont happen with R&R in the picture because they strive for mediocrity |

Sabres should have traded him when they had the chance! Now he's been average at best and return value drops every game he plays. He needs a change of scenery for sure.

he also has seen the most shots tan any goalie this year and he is right to call the players out. he is one of the leaders on this team. |

If this is true, i cringe to know who the followers are..
leaders dish out blame behind closed doors and take the blame in public.. Miller is dishing out the blame and not taking much of it if any.. |

Some of the usual posters here at least give me a good laugh.
Going back to the last blog and Darcy comments.
What do you expect Darcy to say to the media?
I know we are all frustrated but I really think some here need to rea$$ess their rants.
I know be patient may not be the right words but trust me, just be patient you will be happy very soon. |

I just hope being buddies with Charlie Sheen doesn't go to Miller's head.
Emilio must be the brother with the hockey knowledge because calling out your teammates in the media is a big no no, but having America's favourite douche bag do it over twitter is a whole nother level of stupidity.

So, all of them?
Any goalie (with one or two exceptions) that has been decent on the past five or six years has been exactly that way. Thomas? Luongo? Bryz?
Even the ones that don't speak have underachieved. No cup for Henrik or rinne.
Marty just defies all logic. I can't believe he'ss till playing and doing well.

Exactly.
You come back from that early deficit with the desperation that the team did.
You allow a go ahead goal with just over 2 minutes remaining. You do need to find a way to get that to overtime.
I screamed that out loud when the goal was scored.
